Volunteer Services
Nearly 50 area residents donate their time to University Community Hospital as volunteers. The volunteers are an invaluable part of University Community Hospital, providing time to assist with patient and visitor needs, helping the staff, and supporting the overall goals of the hospital. In addition, members of the Auxiliary operate the hospital's gift shops and sponsor fund-raising activities to support the hospital. Volunteers are easily recognizable in their royal blue uniforms and all can be identified by their special volunteer name badges.
Volunteers are Very Special
Our Volunteers need to possess special skills. We are very picky at University Community Hospital. We look for volunteers who are kind, compassionate, enthusiastic, have a positive attitude, a sense of humor, a desire to help others and a sense of commitment. If you possess these skills, please consider volunteering at University Community Hospital.
We Need You!

Auxiliary
Adult volunteers automatically become members of the University Community Hospital Auxiliary. There are no dues to pay. The Auxiliary raises funds for the hospital by holding sales for items such as jewelry, uniform, art and books throughout the year. We encourage all of our volunteers to become involved with the Auxiliary activities.
Recognition
Twice a year, we treat our volunteers out to lunch to show our appreciation. We also recognize our volunteer by awarding pins for hours served and thank you gifts from the hospital, and treat them to theme parks tickets. Valet parking is available free of charge to volunteers.
